What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a non-surgical, non- invasive therapy focused on treating disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system (joints, muscles and nerves). Our Doctors of Chiropractic are experts in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of these conditions of the spine and extremities. We utilize a wide variety of techniques, such as joint manipulation (often known as an “adjustment”), soft tissue release, exercise, education, rehabilitation and other modalities to promote better health, alleviate pain and improve the quality of life.
Chiropractors are trained to provide adjustments using quick and precise movements to the joints of the spine in order to decreased pain, restore proper movement and improve function. Sometimes, when a joint is adjusted, an air bubble may escape from the joint capsule causing the popping noise, similar to cracking your knuckles. Adjustments are often performed by hand, but may also be done using an instrument, when appropriate or requested.
Chiropractors are experts in assessing, diagnosing, treatment and prevention of acute and chronic conditions of the spine and extremities.
Just a few example of of these conditions include:
- Back pain
- Neck pain and headaches
- Shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle tendonitis
- Athletic injuries
- Muscle, tendon and ligament injuries
- Whiplash
- Rib pain and injuries
- Hip pain
- Plantar fasciitis
- Arthritis disc injury
- Nerve entrapment
- Pain during pregnancy and after giving birth
- SI joint pain and dysfunction
- Postural stress related conditions
….and many more. Give us a call today to see how our team can help!

During your first visit to see one of our Chiropractic doctors, they will discuss what treatment plan and techniques will be best for your specific needs. If you have any questions about a specific treatment, and if it may be right for you, please to not hesitate to call our office or book an appointment with on of our Chiropractors.
What can I expect from my first visit?
Health History: Upon booking your first appointment you will fill out a form (either online or in office) to give your doctor or therapist some information about your past health history, current condition and goals for your care.
Initial Consultation: Your first visit with your doctor will include a discussion of any health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for our doctors and therapists to learn more about your specific needs, injuries or conditions, and your goals for care and for the future.
Evaluation: After your consultation, your doctor will perform a complete evaluation, exploring the causes and diagnosis of your condition. This may or may not include movement screening techniques, orthopedic examination, referral for imaging and/or any other special testing that is needed.
Treatment: Most often, treatment will be included in your first visit to our office, however this is dependent upon the specific history, health and needs of each individual. Occasionally, more time or evaluation is needed in order for us to give you the best possible care, and in these cases we will help you schedule a second visit in which you will receive care.
